A soldier, overcome with dread, Stands upon the ground now red. What can he do but weep and cry? There’s nothing else that he may try. A victory spoiled by broken trust, The comrades now forever lost. As blood drips freely from his blade He can but stand and watch them fade. To be a hero strong and true; That was the dream when all was new. But as his friends fell one by one He wondered, when will this be done? A loss that cannot be undone. Dead eyes, unblinking in the sun. Friend and foe lay side by side While he wept and cursed and cried. What is the point of war but pain? He swore it then: “Never again.” For war is never without cost, Which you will see when all is lost.

Prologue In the deepest parts of the ocean, where no man had ever dared to venture, once existed a small underwater village. It was a dark place; for the sun could not reach that deep. There lived a fair amount of Merpeople, in peace with the sea life around them. Concerning An Ocean's Tale

I have been sitting here on my bed for a while, wrapped up in blankets because it's like 4°C in May (!!!!!), thinking of how to write this entry. In the end it's fairly simple, I just wanted to give an update on my writings, so here we go! I am sure that many of you have noticed the lack of new chapters on my story in the past few months. Apart from being fairly busy with school and life in general, I have had an INSANE writers block on the story, that has not allowed me to continue as of yet. (To further illustrate: I have +/- 20 different versions of Chapter 10, or at least the beginning of it.) So, as much as I hate saying this, I

Valentine's Day is coming up, and since today's prompt of #ShowYourHeart is "Love Yourself", I thought I'd go back to this deviation I posted a while ago, which I really like, even though I never fully finsihed it.
